Hi Everyone! Here's some photos of my summer with Tim here in Boston. We had a nice garden party the day before my birthday, and despite the sweltering weather, some of my friends showed up! The week before that, we went to Provincetown to our friend Peter Arvidson's art opening at the Rice/Polak Gallery. We all stayed overnight at a nearby motel and really enjoyed being in that part of the state. Finally, some pics of our peas, which are probably finished this week, and Tim on our climb to Owl's Head. We did some hiking this weekend and will post some pics later. Hope you all are doing well and enjoying the summer days where you are. Best, -M
Hi there, this is the last one, I promise! My friend Elizabeth was invited to create some pieces for a gallery show of Cake Toppers. All of the ones below are hers except for the ken, barbie cake. After these photos you can see that I had a wonderful birthday, altho I was too preoccupied to take photos during the party. We were joined by Julie, Lucien, Paul and Ben as well as my friends Elizabeth and Sarah; and(new friend of mine and) a long time friend of Peter, Willow and her 10 year old grandson. Gunther the great Pyrenese mix is Elizabeth and Sarah's sweet doggie! Check out the beautiful Knit hat that I received from Julie! I also got a nylon hammock from The Fukuda-Kress family and a great morning massage by a Massage Therapist that Peter arranged to come to the house ( a suprise!) He also bought a huge shrub of Yama-buki (Kerria Japonica) because he knows I love the flowers and a super weeding tool! It was a wonderful birthday! Sarah and Elizabeth gave me a very fancy ...

We also enjoyed a visit to the Audobon society. See if youc an guess which photos go with which bit of info I've listed here. I got the Dungeness crab and Halibut salad!! YUMMYYYYY!! Come to portland and we'll eat there again!! I'll add the dessert menu to entice you!
Here are some shots of our visit to upstate new york 2 1/2 hours NE of Syracuse in the Adirondak Park just outside of the little town of Old Forge. Peter's family is pictured along with Peter maneuvering an assortment of boats he grew up paddling, rowing and sailing. It was a beautiful place and I'll give you more details when I see you next.
